The Bible Society NSW
The Bible Society NSW came into being through an Act of the NSW Parliament in 1817, following the forming of the British and Foreign Bible Society in London in 1804. Bible Society NSW was the first auxiliary branch in the Pacific of the Bible Society. Since its beginnings, the Bible Society has played a leading role in supplying Scriptures to churches, groups, individuals and communities both within Australia and beyond. Robert Menzies College (RMC) is a residential college, providing accommodation for 200 undergraduate and postgraduate students of Macquarie University and Sydney Institute of Business and Technology. Anglican Education Commission
The Anglican Education Commission is concerned with advocacy and making representation to government, as well as being represented on a number of committees and Commissions. It also aims to encourage Christians to enter the teaching profession, and to serve Christ in all types of schools, State and Independent. In addition, it offers courses designed to help teachers not just in Anglican schools but also teachers from other schools, or people considering teaching as a profession or tertiary students in teacher training. Furthermore, the Commission has a responsibility to promote and facilitate educational research.
