Linda and Robert Banks

Linda and Robert Banks

Linda Banks has a background in teaching, experience in Christian Education, and was a staff worker for the Australian Fellowship of Evangelical Students. She has also been Associate Pastor of a Baptist Church, Baptist Chaplain at Macquarie University and worked in the Curriculum Development area for the Anglican Education Commission. A special interest in the life and writings of C.S. Lewis led to her designing and running annual week-long ‘World of Narnia’ events for young people in local churches.She and Robert have co-authored a booklet on The Christian Student's Guide to the University and Discussion Guides on Going to Work with God, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and Prince Caspian.

Robert Banks has held teaching or research positions in universities and theological colleges in Australia and overseas, including Professor of the Ministry of the Laity and Director of the De Pree Leadership Center, Fuller Theological Seminary, Los Angeles. He was also the Founding Director of The City of Los Angeles Film Festival and of Macquarie Christian Studies Institute, Sydney. His award-winning writings cover a wide field, with a special interest in the relationship between Scripture and communication, theology and popular culture, faith and work, community and lifestyle, and over the years he has worked closely with people in business, education and the media.

Anna Branford is a PhD candidate in the Sociology department at La Trobe University in Melbourne. Her doctoral thesis explores the role of fantasy in communications between adults and children, with particular focus on both literature and religion.

Greg Clarke is co-founder and Director (with John Dickson) of the Centre for Public Christianity, and Director of the Macquarie Christian Studies Institute.

John Dickson

John Dickson is co-founder and Director (with Greg Clarke) of the Centre for Public Christianity. He is an Honorary Associate of the Department of Ancient History, Macquarie University (Sydney, Australia), and lectures in World Religions for the Macquarie Christian Studies Institute.

Tim Gresham

Tim Gresham

Tim Gresham is C.S. Lewis's step-grandson. Tim's father (Douglas Gresham) is the Creative Director for the C.S. Lewis Company, and Executive Producer for the recent Narnia movies. As a member of a very close family, Tim has had a behind-the-scenes view of the development of both the Print and Screen media over the last 30 years.

Jill McGilvray

Jill McGilvray is a Pastoral Worker at St Matthew's Anglican Church, West Pennant Hills. She has previously worked as a Bereavement Counsellor and, for many years, as a bookseller specialising in books for children. She first fell in love with the Narnia books when she was seven. She is married to Ian, and mother to two young adult daughters.

Tony Morphett

Tony Morphett has been writing television drama for 40 years, and is also the author of five novels (two of them for children) and a book of Christian reflections. He is the deviser or co-deviser of a wide range of TV series, including Blue Heelers and Water Rats; the writer/co-writer of 10 telemovies, 12 miniseries, seven feature films, hundreds of TV drama episodes; and is also the recipient of 14 industry awards. His most recent credits include the mini-series Sea Patrol and Rain Shadow.

Byron Smith

Byron Smith

Byron is an Anglican minister with degrees in philosophy, theology and literature. He is about to commence a PhD at the University of Edinburgh.
