Andrew Lansdown on “Fantasy and its place in Christian Imagination”
On Thursday 4 May at Lewis for Educators, Andrew Lansdown gave his keynote address on the subject of whether Christians ought to be reading or writing fantasy literature. Given the controversy in some parts of the world over J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series, Philip Pullman’s His Dark Materials trilogy and even C.S. Lewis’s The Chronicles of Narnia, this is an issue worth exploring in some depth.
You can listen to what Andrew has to say on the subject by downloading the MP3 of his talk (22.2MB; 57 min approx). Peter Kocan’s poem is quoted with kind permission.
